SysTune 1.2 Release on May 1st

2012-04-23 14:40

SysTune 1.2 adds an interface for mobile devices

Berlin, Germany, April 23, 2012 – AFMG, German-based pro-audio software developers, release the new version of their widely recognized real-time audio analysis software SysTune on May 1st. Once again, SysTune´s new features will be setting the standard for professional pro-audio measurement tools and again, this update will be free for the large community of existing users! Beyond that, AFMG has changed prices and licensing to make SysTune even more affordable to a larger group of users. To celebrate the release, AFMG has launched a dedicated SysTune Facebook page with a special lottery in May and June.

For the past 30 years, software from AFMG´s high-profile developers has been known for its long product cycles and well thought out features and usability. True to its unique philosophy, AFMG will again deliver the upgrade to SysTune 1.2 to existing customers for free, thus providing a set of incredibly powerful new features at no charge at all.

Delay Analysis, Web-Interface and AUBION X.8 Integration

A large amount of research and work has gone into one of the new plugins called ‘Delay Analysis.’ From a set of captured individual measurements, SysTune automatically calculates optimal delay times between mains and subs or between main and delay loudspeakers, giving precise information on polarity and predicted overall system performance. “Never before has it been easier to solve the polarity question and find the correct delay time for your system!” Stefan Feistel, physicist and Managing Director of AFMG, is excited. “You can save about 70% of time on measurements by one quick calculation using our new Delay Analysis plugin.”.

Efficient use of tools has always been a key aspect of AFMG software. No marks for guessing that SysTune´s new Web-Interface will become an audio technician´s most-loved feature during soundcheck. Just about any mobile device with a modern browser can be used to remotely watch and control live measurements from anywhere within reach of your WiFi access point. Store and name overlays, start and stop measurements, etc. Now you can walk through the hall, microphone in one hand, your phone in the other and gather all necessary measurements without running back and forth to the computer. An incredible time-saver.

Released only five months ago, the AUBION X.8 has been getting a lot of recognition as the new high-end 8-channel measurement interface on the market. With the release of SysTune 1.2 this will continue to increase. Sound technicians, system integrators and loudspeaker developers will benefit from the full integration of SysTune and the AUBION X.8 that comes with the new software version. Especially the unique feature of gain compensation, which allows the user to make gain adjustments without losing calibration, will be welcomed by professionals around the globe.

SysTune Facebook Celebration

These and many more enhancements are a good reason for a party. AFMG will be celebrating the release of SysTune 1.2 on Facebook. Thilo Schuetz, Director of Marketing & Sales at AFMG invites all SysTune users and friends: “Come and visit www.facebook.com/SysTune, become a fan and enter in the big lottery being held from May 1st to June 28th. Post pictures of your best gigs, your biggest setup and the craziest artists you have kept under control with SysTune. Impress your friends and win a unique SysTune T-Shirt. In other words: Be a SysTuner!“

New Pricing and Licensing

In the past, SysTune has been sold in so-called dual licenses. Technicians have frequently inquired about the possibility to acquire only a single license at a reduced price. With the release of SysTune 1.2, AFMG complies with this wish. In the future, users needing only a single license will benefit as SysTune becomes more affordable, while existing users will retain the full number of licenses they own.

In addition to the reduced entry level prices, AFMG grants a 10% discount on any two licenses even of different programs purchased simultaneously.

SysTune 1.2, Single License 400 EUR (approx. 525 USD)
SysTune Pro 1.2, Single License 650 EUR (approx. 850 USD)

300 EUR (approx. 395 USD)

Prices do not include VAT. Discounts cannot be accumulated.

All software can be purchased directly through the Online Store of AFMG.

AFMG Announces EASE Seminars 2012

2012-03-07 13:40

Berlin, Germany, March 6, 2012 – After the great success of completely sold-out seminars in 2011, AFMG publishes the 2012 schedule of trainings for EASE. EASE is the simulation package for room acoustics and loudspeaker systems that has been setting the industry standard for over 20 years by now. As in the last years, there will be two trainings at AFMG´s Berlin headquarters in spring and fall. International dates will take place in Dubai, accompanying the “Palm” fair and in Wroclaw (Breslau), Poland.

All seminars are intended for an international audience of consultants, engineers, system integrators and other audio and acoustics professionals and will be held in English. The Berlin and Dubai seminars will be held by graduate engineer Emad El-Saghir, who has been inspiring and surprising his students with his comprehensive knowledge gained as an acoustician and consultant in numerous renowned projects in Europe and the Middle East.

EASE seminars are split into two levels. Each level can be booked separately. Level 1 is directed at entry-level users of EASE and gives a highly compressed, three-day introduction into the fundamentals of acoustical modeling and the usage of EASE. Participants will be able to effectively accomplish own projects with EASE or EASE JR. Level 2 builds upon the knowledge gained in the first level. Users who would like to attend only Level 2 should have sufficient experience with EASE. Level 2 will cover the theory of GLL loudspeaker data, simulating line arrays and other complex sources. It will also compare and evaluate different simulation approaches like raytracing and AURA and take participants all the way up to binaural auralizations.

Apart from the full-fledged seminars in Berlin and Dubai, the two-day training in Wroclaw (Breslau), Poland will be something special. Renowned acoustician Dr. Paweł Dziechciński will address users of EASE JR in a dedicated seminar covering fundamentals of acoustical simulation, modeling with EASE JR and correctly interpreting simulation results. This course will be held in Polish language. (Reservations for EASE JR Training in Wroclaw, Poland: audio@mostrowski.pl)

As usual, AFMG will provide attendees with free EASE licenses including all necessary program modules for the duration of the class. Participants should bring their own laptop. Emad El-Saghir advises all students: “Our experiences in the past have shown that it is very helpful to work through the EASE tutorial once before the course. This way you will be able to follow tuition best and achieve the best results.”

Seminar dates: (clicking on the link will take you directly to the AFMG Online Store)

Prices and Registration

Participants of these courses will receive a 10% discount on any main program by AFMG purchased simultaneously. When booking more than one seminar, level or multiple participants, customers will also receive a 10% discount.
